Life has been the most disappointing and stressful event of all time. You work hard trying to build a life and career that is meaningful. You went over and beyond gaining experience and countless degrees. But somehow that isn’t enough. Suddenly, there’s this shift in the universe where the hardworking citizen is now the villain. You are punished for achieving the highest level of education, acquiring diverse skills, and being the honesty needed in the workplace. It’s very depressing knowing you have executive level experience but countless rejected applications. Your current job is admit in gatekeeping high paying position from you limiting your growth. The leaders see you as a threat because your qualifications earned you a spot at the table. Meanwhile, they were never qualified but were legacy hires.

You are constantly overlooked, discriminated against, and always the target of some underserving personality hire. You go through life running across people who see your worth and advocate for you. One problem. They advocate to you about you and not to the ones who have the authority to help you. You’re slowly dying inside questioning your very existence, purpose, and why even bother. you get ghosted by those with the resources claiming to help. You constantly reach out but nobody is there. You watching more and more underserving people surpass you and they barely have dirty on their jersey. You did everything the right way and now is punished for being too valuable. How is that even possible?

That’s because your light shines the brightest. They know you’re not willing to settle and your spirit disturbs their negative agenda. They understand that you will move mountains if you’re given a fair opportunity. So they make everything difficult for you. Never the less, you don’t give up and continue to have hope. However, hope falls short. You realize that you never belonged there since day 1. You’re stuck in a sunken place where you don’t belong. The people in the environment constantly reminds you that you don’t belong. While you trying to break free, the they gather troops because they’re powerless against you alone. You fall deeper and deeper into darkness. constantly in pain, doing it on your own. You’re expected to overcome depression from those who triggers it.

You go through life just trying to do things that fulfill your purpose. You’re not trying to be the most powerful. You’re just trying to have your ROI on a life you worked hard for. All you wanted was a fair opportunity, for people to actually advocate for and with you, and inspire others.

Sadly, you’re dead inside and nothing but hollow. There’s nothing there but emptiness and a ghost of the person you use to be.
